Scott Long's Scully stance has drawn many comments, and most pro-Scully folks grew up listening to him, so I thought I'd add my thoughts since I hadn't heard Scully call a game until last year. He doesn't stand out in my mind, really, for being exceptional. In fact, nearly every time I hear his voice I think "In baseball, there are night games, there are day games, there's even an occasional twi-night doubleheader. But there's no such thing as a first-thing-in-the-morning game; that's because mornings are for Farmer John's." I like his voice, and he doesn't do anything particularly annoying, and those two components make him one of the best in the game.
